Screen printing at the Labs!

This past weekend's screen printing workshop at the Labs was such a hit! Take a look at how the class went below as Phil Sachs of Sheepshead Design leads the class and shares his vast knowledge and screen printing skills:

The students came with a notebook ready to learn (they had never previously screen printed before) and by the end of the workshop, were printing on everything from posters and canvases, to t shirts and potholders! It was so exciting to see all the different designs and imagery that each individual came up with!





If you are interested in learning how to screen print at the labs, we have another weekend workshop with a few spaces left open scheduled for July 21st and 22nd listed in our shop right here. Phil is also in the midst of drawing up a lesson plan for more advanced printers that want to improve their style and dive into more advanced screen printing work so keep your eyes on our class listings for the advanced class soon!

Any Project Runway fans out there?

If you missed the Rosette Workshop taught here at the Labs by Project Runway's own Angela Keslar, we put together some pics to show you from the class:

The class not only learned all about making rosettes, but grilled Angela all about her experiences on the show and heard all of her inside stories!

Any Project Runway fans out there?

Hey all you fans of Project Runway! Did you know that we will be featuring the Miss Angela Keslar of season 3 here at the Etsy Labs this coming Sunday for a very special workshop in which she will be teaching us all how to make her famous "rosettes???"

The class will be super fun, quick and easy for you beginning and seasoned sewers (no machines required!!!) and Angela will be hanging out after to answer any and all of your Project Runway questions!! You heard me.

DIY Dress Forms, 3pm Today

The Labs need dress forms in everybody's size, and we had heard that it was possible to make them out of duct tape. For real! Anna dug up this tutorial, and we're going to make some together this afternoon at 3pm. All Lab PALs (members) are invited to swing by and help us! If you can't make it, we'll be experts by this time tomorrow and we can give you advice on making your own anytime.

Hey Guys!

Here is a pic from the most recent knitting class held here at the Labs this past Sunday:

The class was taught by Julie Schneider of YourSecretAdmiral on Etsy and we had fun sitting in the comfy lounge, drinking tea, eating lifesavers, and learning to knit!

I hope all your knitters and crocheters out there of all levels will remember to join us for our free weekly knit nights beginning at 6pm each Monday!! Come join us and meet other great people doing the same thing in the community!
